Our Purpose
The purpose of Northside Baptist Church is to love Jesus supremely, to serve Him faithfully, and to share Him redemptively in our community and beyond.
Our Objectives
1. To worship the Lord in spirit and in truth and to respond to Him in appropriate ways
2. To demonstrate a caring, personal concern for every member of our church by ministering in practical ways to their physical, material, emotional, and spiritual needs
3. To promote Christian fellowship in a context of mutual acceptance, love, encouragement, and caring
4. To teach believers the Word of God in order to equip them to grow toward spiritual maturity, faithful service, and responsible living
5. To encourage God’s people to be faithful stewards of all that He has entrusted to them
6. To strengthen home and family relationships
7. To foster and encourage moral and spiritual values consistent with God’s Word
8. To demonstrate Christ’s love and concern for those in our community who do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior by genuinely caring for them, ministering to their needs, and sharing the Gospel with them
Our Vision
We believe that God has given us a vision of the kind of church He wants us to become. This vision is rooted deeply in God’s Word and is beautifully expressed in Acts 4:31-35. With God’s grace and help, Northside is in the process of becoming:
*a praying church
*an evangelistic church
*a Spirit-filled and empowered church
*a giving church
*a church with a deep, loving, united fellowship
*a church that genuinely cares for people and
reaches out redemptively to meet their needs
*a church that is committed to the Lordship of
Christ and to the proclamation and the teaching of
the Bible as the inspired Word of God
